Recently, stem cell researchers in the United States discovered a compound they can eradicate breast cancer stem cells. Doctors and researchers have long believed the cancer stem cells are nearly indestructible, and many don’t react to chemo or radiation treatments.  A recent publication in Cell, has announced the researchers have discovered a compound that will target specific cancer stem cells, leading to hold that these master cancer cells can be eradicated in individuals suffering from multiple forms of cancer.

Doctors and researchers from around the world have long studied the potential treatments and cures that may be derived from embryonic stem cell research, umbilical cord stem cell research, placenta stem cell therapies and the many uses of various forms of stem cells to treat diseases and illnesses of the human body. The hope for cures for breast cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer, and pancreatic, liver and stomach cancer compels researchers in stem cell research facilities around the globe to continually strive to understand the basics of stem cell growth and development.

Research facilities in the United States, as well as those such as Integra and Progencell in Mexico, and EmCell in Ukraine as well as top-notch and state of the art facilities located throughout Europe, South America, Asia and the United States  continue to search for treatments, drugs and procedures that will specifically target and kill cancer stem cells.

Adult embryonic stem cell therapy, as well as adult stem cell therapy protocols are being developed around the world and will continue to offer hope to millions of cancer patients for the ultimate treatment and cure.

No one likes to hear the word ‘Cancer’, but unfortunately, thousands of people are diagnosed with some form of cancer every month. Liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, breast cancer and colon cancer are among the most common. Cancer prevention information is making some headway with encouraging cancer awareness, but too often the  diagnosis comes too late. That’s why annual checkups are so important. When caught early enough, treatments for cancer can help individuals beat the disease and offer hope for a future. One of the most common forms of cancer treatment used today is chemotherapy.

Chemotherapy, or Chemo for short, is a procedure that is commonly used to treat cancer in a patient. It can be performed before or after a surgery, and is designed to remove cancerous cells or tumors. The procedure can also be performed on an individual who is undergoing radiation therapy. Some doctors  use chemotherapy alone, depending on the severity of the cancer.

Unfortunately, chemotherapy drugs are horrendously expensive in the U.S. and may cost upward of $5,000 a month! And just as unfortunately, many individuals diagnosed with cancer must make a choice of either obtaining the expensive treatment and losing their financial security or choosing not to treat. No one should have to make that choice.

Thankfully, there are facilities outside the U.S. where Americans can receive superlative cancer treatment at a fraction of the cost of domestic care. Places like the Bangkok Hospital Medical Center in Thailand, or the EmCell Clinic in Kiev, Ukraine are just a couple of the multiple medical tourism destinations found abroad that offer cutting-edge technologies and procedures for the treatment of many different types of cancer.

Depending on the type of cancer discovered, physicians will determine which options or treatments are best in every situation. In some cases, a patient may have a choice of procedures or treatments, while other times, they will not. Certain factors will determine which treatment will provide optimal results, including what type of cancer, what organs or tissues are affected, as well as what stage the cancer is in. The earlier the stage of cancer development, the better for treatment prognosis. Overall health and age may also factor in to treatment plans.

Common Cancer Treatments

· Chemotherapy

· Radiation

· Surgery

· Biological or hormone therapy

One individual undergoing cancer treatment utilizing a drug called Cytoxan, and chemotherapy for cancer treatment for his cancer costs him roughly $2,000 for each session he must undergo. His medical bills amount to roughly $300,000 a year. The astronomical costs of treating liver cancer or kidney cancer, or stomach cancer or breast cancer (the list goes on) can devastate financial stability in a matter of weeks.

However, cancer treatment centers in foreign destinations may offer hope for thousands facing such a dilemma. Cancer treatment centers located in Thailand, Singapore, India, Mexico and places in Europe such as Turkey and Jordan, offer cancer treatment for many types of cancer, including bone and pancreatic cancer, colon cancer as well as alternative cancer treatment options.

No one should ever have to choose between cancer treatment and financial ruin or the tragic results on not being able to afford such treatment. Check out cancer treatment abroad and do what you can to help yourself or a loved one utilize better options.

Cancer can strike any gender or age group. Lung cancer, liver cancer, bone cancer and stomach cancer are common. Depending on the type of cancer, various treatments may be initiated in an effort to eradicate or kill cancer cells. Cancer treatments vary according to the stage the cancer is discovered, as well as location and overall health of the patient.

Common Cancer Treatments

· Chemotherapy

· Radiation

· Surgery

· Biological or hormone therapy

Chemotherapy involves the use of medications to attack and kill cancer cells. This type of treatment is used when cancer has metastasized, or spread to other areas within the body.

A specific type of x-ray called radiation is involved in radiotherapy cancer treatment. This type of treatment damages or disables cancer cells through the use of radiation, which prevents certain cancer cells from multiplying.

New treatments have been designed to use proteins to initiate the immune system to produce increased amounts of white blood cells that attack viruses, bacteria and cancers, through what is called biological therapy.

Hormone therapy is often the first step in treating prostate or breast cancers that are discovered in early stages of development. Various drugs that contain hormones are used in this type of therapy.

Surgery is often employed to remove cancerous tumors as well as affected tissues in the body. Surgical procedures may be used to treat cancers in the colon, liver, lungs, brain and other body organs.

Cancer treatment centers are available around the globe, such as Cancer Treatment in Turkey, Ukraine, Mexico, Jordan, India and Thailand at lower costs than those found in the U.S.
