Are painful joint movements making it hard to enjoy life? Traveling abroad for orthopedic services might be just the answer for a number of aches and pains, such as sports injuries, knee and hip problems or even arthritis. Whether you need hip orthopedics or knee surgery treatment or orthopedics specialists, orthopedic medicine providers, orthopedics doctors and surgeons abroad can help you feel better, work better and play better.

Some of the most common orthopedic services include but are not limited to: hip replacement surgery (partial or total), hip joint resurfacing surgery, knee replacement surgery (partial or total), hand surgery, elbow surgery, and  shoulder surgery.

Surgical orthopedics and orthopedic surgery treatments help treat chronic diseases such as various forms of arthritis in the hands, knees and back. Depending on the type of procedure needed, surgery may take one or more hours, most often being performed under general anesthesia.

In many cases, recovery from most types of orthopedics surgery is quick with very little discomfort. Depending on the type of surgery, recovery time varies from two weeks to four months.  Physical and Occupational therapy usually follows any type of orthopedic surgical procedure, which will help restore muscle strength, coordination, and mobility.

Using an orthopedic procedure to address joint or bone needs is ideal in becoming pain free. By undergoing the procedure, the chances of becoming mobile and increasing movement are drastically improved. Other orthopedic services and procedures include partial or total hip replacement surgery, as well as hip resurfacing surgery, partial or total knee replacement procedures and those that focus on hands, elbow, or shoulder joints.

Where can you find facilities that offer orthopedic procedures? Check out Medical Poland in Bydgoszcz, Poland for excellent orthopedic medical care and a pleasant experience. In addition, look at MediAccess in Cape Town, South Africa for world class medical care.

Those engaged in sports or heavy lifting often injure shoulders, and require the need for rotator cuff surgery, knee replacement or hip replacement surgeries, and a multitude of other orthopedic treatments and surgeries. Whether you need hip orthopedics or hip joint resurfacing, knee surgery or arthroscopic knee surgery, medical tourism destinations offer world class care and treatment for a fraction of the cost you’ll pay for such surgeries in the U.S.

Generally, there are two different yet common types of orthopedic surgery performed for a multitude of issues and injury repairs. Open surgery- Often times this procedure has better results than with Arthroscopy. Surgeons can perform this surgery with small incisions, and healing time is dependent on what type of surgery is performed. Arthroscopy- this procedure can be done by a surgeon using thin tubes that have lighting and lens being inserted into an incision to look at the shoulder joints on a TV monitor. To make repairs, instruments are also inserted through the small tubes and seen by the monitor to do the procedure.

Arthroscopy surgery may treat such conditions as:

  • Rotator Cuff Tears
  • Biceps Tendonitis
  • Shoulder Labral tears
  • Impingement Syndrome
  • Frozen Shoulder
  • AC (acromioclavicular) Joint Arthritis

Knee surgery abroad offers patients high-tech and excellent care such as that found in the Tour2india4health Consultants  in Mumbai, India, or the CTG Healthcare Group in Izmir, Turkey or the Terme Selce Health and Sport center in Selce, Croatia.

Don’t limit your options, or what you pay for orthopedic surgeries, treatments or procedures. Know your choices and then choose the best.

Orthopedics is the study of bone and joint and muscle. There are 206 bones in the human body, designed to protect inner organs and provide motion and mobility. When something goes wrong, an orthopedic doctor and surgeon may need to perform surgery.

Orthopedic services are designed to promote the health and healing of bone and joint needs associated with a wide variety of orthopedic conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, knee and hip problems, arthritis, and sports injuries such as tennis elbow or rotator cuff surgery. The scope of orthopedic specialties enables treatment of joint injuries and bone fracture as well as those caused by ligament, tendon, or nerve damage.

Orthopedic surgery may include but is not limited to address various conditions, injuries and damage caused by disease processes, the common of which include:

· Total Joint Replacement of Hip or Knee

· Anterior Hip Joint Replacement Surgery

· Anterior Cruciate Ligament

· Hip Abrasion Arthroplasty

· Knee Abrasion Arthroplasty

· Orthopedic Hip Resurfacing

· Arthroplasty

· Arthroscopic Knee Surgery

· Hand Surgery

· Avascular Necrosis

· Treatment for arthritis damage in joints throughout the body

Orthopedic surgeries may also be performed for knee surgery treatment and hip resurfacing procedure surgeries or arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, elbow or ankle joints. Individuals suffering from sports injuries, traumatic injury or disease processes benefit from orthopedic surgery.

Medical tourists can save big bucks by opting for orthopedic surgeries  such as hip surgery abroad or other orthopedic surgery abroad in exotic foreign destinations like Bangkok and India.

Unfortunately, Americans are growing increasingly aware of the high cost of medical, dental and vision care. Because of the need for physicians in every field to carry malpractice insurance, our insurance rates as well as the cost of medical and dental procedures are higher than just about anywhere in the world.

Dental care is essential for optimal health, but unfortunately, many of us don’t carry dental insurance that will help pay for dentures, root canals, dental implants, or oral and maxillofacial surgeries. In recent years, more Americans than ever before have traveled abroad for low cost dental care procedures to leading destinations throughout Asia, South America, and Europe.

The cost of dental procedures, cosmetic dental treatments, and dental surgery depends upon the type of procedure being performed, but in the United States, a single dental implant can cost between $1,000 and $5,000. The cost of a crown will vary by the type of crown chosen, but may range between $800 and $1,000. Bonding can run between $300 and $600 a tooth. Jaw reconstruction may cost between $24,000 and $100,000. Orthodontic procedures may range anywhere from $3,000 to $5,000, sometimes more.

In foreign destinations such as Hungary, single dental implants in hungary cost roughly $1,350. In Poland, a prosthetic reconstruction of the jaw runs about $4,368. Costs on other dental procedures may save travelers between 20% and 50%, and sometimes more.

Do some price comparisons on your own, and you’ll be surprised at the thousands of dollars you can save on high-tech, expert dental care abroad.

If you’re like most people, you don’t necessarily want everyone to know you’re planning gastric bypass surgery or any other type of obesity surgeries. Many would rather deal with the procedure in privacy. If you’re an American dealing with the high cost of medical care and long waiting lists, consider undergoing bariatric surgeries or procedures in an exotic locale, while at the same time saving thousands of dollars.

Where can you go for bariatric surgeries these days? Mexico is one of the most popular medical tourism destinations for superlative obesity surgery center opportunities, followed closely by India and other Latin American countries. State-of-the-art facilities, highly trained and competent surgeons, friendly, compassionate staff to help you every step of the way – what more can you ask for?

Some of the highest rated gastric bypass surgery facilities that perform multiple types of procedures include the elegant Sanoviv Medical Institute along the Baja Coast in Mexico. Or, check out the facilities of the Almater Hospital in Mexicali, or Mexicali Obesity Solutions. Or further south, try Med Logistic Services in Columbia.

If you’re in the mood for some really unique destinations, investigate facilities in India such as the Sahara Medical in Gurgaon or Tour2India4health Consultants in Mumbai.

Regardless of which facility you choose, you’ll be pleased with the skilled service, the compassionate care, fantastic results - and the money you’ll save.
