Dental professionals and clinics in South America, Hungary, and Asia offer the same services for quite a bit less. If you’re tired of feeling tired, or looking for better, long-lasting results to anti-aging, or even more productive and beneficial treatments and procedures for dealing with chronic illness or disease, consider your options. Discuss alternative treatments that can be used in conjunction with traditional methods for treatment of chronic illnesses with your doctor.

Chronic fever, chronic infections and chronic illness can often be treated effectively with more than pharmaceuticals that cost an arm and a leg. By combining a number of approaches or medical field disciplines to treat your chronic health disease, or for the prevention of chronic diseases, research your alternatives.

Today, more people from around the world are falling back on tried and true methods of medical care that take a more natural approach to understanding the causes of chronic disease as well as treatment of chronic disease that affects multiple body systems.

Alternative Medicine, also known as Natural medicine, Holistic medicine and or CAM – Complimentary and Alternative Medicine are being used more widely in traditional medical practices throughout the U.S. and the world. Alternative medicine takes the approach of treating the whole body, and not merely symptoms of organic or physiologic origin.

Common treatment approaches to chronic diseases prevention and treatment include some that have been around thousands of years, and modern developments.

·         Acupuncture

·         Naturopathic medicine

·         Biofeedback Therapy

·         Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

·         Yoga

·         Ayurvedic Medicine

·         Homeopathic medicine

·         Herbal Therapy

Check out facilities like the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz in Switzerland or the Indus Valley Ayurveda Center in Mysore, India or the Yanhee Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. Your body will thank you.

No one likes to hear the word ‘Cancer’, but unfortunately, thousands of people are diagnosed with some form of cancer every month. Liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, breast cancer and colon cancer are among the most common. Cancer prevention information is making some headway with encouraging cancer awareness, but too often the  diagnosis comes too late. That’s why annual checkups are so important. When caught early enough, treatments for cancer can help individuals beat the disease and offer hope for a future. One of the most common forms of cancer treatment used today is chemotherapy.

Chemotherapy, or Chemo for short, is a procedure that is commonly used to treat cancer in a patient. It can be performed before or after a surgery, and is designed to remove cancerous cells or tumors. The procedure can also be performed on an individual who is undergoing radiation therapy. Some doctors  use chemotherapy alone, depending on the severity of the cancer.

Unfortunately, chemotherapy drugs are horrendously expensive in the U.S. and may cost upward of $5,000 a month! And just as unfortunately, many individuals diagnosed with cancer must make a choice of either obtaining the expensive treatment and losing their financial security or choosing not to treat. No one should have to make that choice.

Thankfully, there are facilities outside the U.S. where Americans can receive superlative cancer treatment at a fraction of the cost of domestic care. Places like the Bangkok Hospital Medical Center in Thailand, or the EmCell Clinic in Kiev, Ukraine are just a couple of the multiple medical tourism destinations found abroad that offer cutting-edge technologies and procedures for the treatment of many different types of cancer.

Today, accreditation by nationally recognized and renowned organizations and associations may literally mean the difference between success and failure for healthcare services and providers. Accreditation by facilities such as the Joint Commission International (JCI) as well as the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) signify that a facility, staff, or health service meets standard quality of care and services for patients.

Two excellent and renowned facilities are the Bangkok Hospital Medical Center in Bangkok, Thailand, and the Jordan Hospital, located in Amman, Jordan. The Jordan Hospital is accredited by the JCI and the ISO. This 300-bed multi-specialty state-of-the-art medical center provides a multitude of services for medical travelers, including surgery, internal medicine and specialized therapeutics, for a fraction of the cost that Americans spend on health care. The Jordan Hospital was the site of the first kidney transplant in 1972, and the first heart transplant in 1985.

The Bangkok Hospital Medical Center is also JCI accredited and has been providing world-class and award-winning healthcare since the early 1970s. A huge facility with over 650 full-time and consulting physicians, 700 nurses, and dozens of support technicians and specialists, the Bangkok Hospital, the International Hospital, the Bangkok Heart Hospital, the Cancer hospital and the Dental Center and Rehab Center offer world travelers the best in medical care and services in Southeast Asia.

These two facilities are just an example of the many fine health care facilities and practitioners available for medical tourists today. When looking for international health care, make sure they are internationally accredited, and that physicians and staff are board-certified and licensed to practice.
