Asian Medical tourism is growing exponentially in recent years, and is expected to blossom even more in the coming decade. Individuals from around the world, especially in the United States and Western Europe, disappointed and discouraged by healthcare options, rising healthcare costs, and long wait times, increasingly look beyond borders for excellent, qualified an accredited medical care.

The Asia Medical Tourism and Wellness Congress, most commonly known as GLOW, is meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in May 2010, to host an expo and congress on the personal wellness and medical tourism industry that focuses on facilities, providers, treatments, technologies and opportunities in Southeast Asia.

The GLOW exhibition will specifically target health care related industries hospitals, spa and wellness associations and operators, outbound tour operators, and international insurance providers.

Improving wellness programs in corporate environments, sustaining spa and wellness businesses during economic crisis as well as cost budgeting approaches to tracking medical tourism marketing activities are just a few of the topics that will be discussed at the upcoming conference.

Asia’s largest Medical Tourism and Wellness Congress will meet next May, 2010 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Medical Tourism and Wellness Congress is one of the largest in the world, and will attract over 10,000 medical tourism trade visitors, sponsors, delegates, and exhibitors from around the world, including the United States, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

Known as GLOW 2010, the event is designed to focus on specific technologies, providers, and international focus on medical and wellness health and tourism industries and is specifically designed to promote wellness in corporate environments. The conference will engage discuss since regarding trends and technologies as well as exposing a multitude of health and wellness in medical tourism organizations throughout the world.

Medical tourism to the Asian region since 2008 has poured over four billion dollars into the Asian economy and is expected to surpass $200 million from global travelers and more than $11 billion in revenue from the United States. Suppliers as well as buyers in the health and wellness tourism industry will discuss and brainstorm issues regarding the medical tourism industry as a whole, focusing on latest technologies, products, and procedures that may be implemented worldwide to improve overall medical care and health and wellness for domestic as well as international travelers.
